Do you remember the Song by Three Dog Night "One"? When it comes to starting anything new i think we all go through "One is The Loneliest Number That You Can Ever DO" ! When it comes to feedback i find that I really have to trust my gut and trust it. Even if I am wrong i will learn from it and the world will not come to an end, we must move on. Do you really have a choice not to move on?
As I work on new projects, search the internet for new answers and discovering wonderful opportunities I find myself full of the knowledge and it is time to apply it. Will it be perfect? Heck no! Will it be good enough? It will have to be, now won't it? I write it, post it and let it go. Next!
I am finding that focus, commitment, persistence, due diligence and trust in one self are the keys of building character. Just like building a house, if you have no idea what you are doing it will take you longer than some one that knows how to build a house already. But after you build that first house i am sure the second will be a bit easier. it should, right?
As anything goes, the more you do it the better you are going to get. And if you are a little like me there is always more to learn and expand on. I just like discovering new things and as i keep on expanding I am getting better at communicating these things I learn. I think this world that we want to transform into is heading back to some basic human fundamentals and good and bad are at battle all the time. Sometimes I wonder who it is that doesn't have faith in the human being and the power of being human. Who ever they are they are dead wrong as we are an awesome spices of reason.
Well enough of that and I would like to end ny sharing my new project and niche i created.

Staying Focused in My New Career
It seems like I have fallen off a train. I was going on along so well with writing and spinning my wheels. But I do believe everything happens for a reason and someway somehow I am guided to the things I need to know.
If you are a little like me you check your email and go to your social sites and post and chat and can spend a bit of time doing that. Not that spending time doing that isn't good to do I can say that I will get caught up in it and blow a lot of time getting nothing done.
But while I was getting nothing done at least I was reading some of the email lists I belong to. Some of the people I follow through email send me some great stuff that helps me along the way. One this week was focus. I stepped back and said to myself are you ready to apply the things you know. Command my destiny and future?
I then decided to do more than what I thought I was doing and went back to an idea that started out this summer and went on the back burner. With all the things I know about putting up a web site and a wordpress blog I decided to go back to this project and do it the right way. At least the way I think is right.
But so far so good. I read this week that to really get something accomplished and get good at it will take at least 100 hours. I use to feel the same way about performing other peoples songs. it would take me 100 performances before I could do it in a comatose.
So I am working on my new blog www.MyAeroponics.com and sharing one of my hobbies growing plants indoors. I am using this blog to write about my experiences going through an internet business start up through writing and creating. Other blogs I have like Scott's Corner I like to use as a catch all of things I find as this is my first blog and did not really know what i was doing. Another blog I write at is about blogging more in 2011 where I write about technical stuff I find. I also write at hubpages. But more on that later.
So as you can see focus is everything. I thought I would share that focus is everything and I will be right back at it. But I had to post this as it is a very important to focus in on that target to achieve a bulls-eye and focus in on it.
So if you are going through a change too, focus will be your friend. And if it doesn't hit the mark right away don't give up.Stay Focused!

New Career Niche
As I listen to the news today and the world seems to be making money again. But I wonder where that money is flowing. The DOW is going up but I have no money there anymore since I got ripped off so i know i am not making money there anymore.
As I look on to where the money is there is no doubt that there is money on the internet. Now how to extract some of that. I read a lot and I have seen all the get rich quick programs out there telling how to make thousands in 30 days. Now I have to say that it might be able to be done, but you better have a bank roll.
If you are like me you don't have that money to invest, but you have the time. When it came upon the time of realizing that my financial security was being put at risk because of the markets decreasing I had to start making choices. One choice was i do not have the time to go back to school and start over again. At least in the formal way. The internet supplies vast amounts of knowledge for free, so I took it upon myself to train and learn.as I go. Maybe not the best way as it is easy to get caught up into doing something wrong.
I have found few mentors that really want to help anyone but into their pocket.And that is understandable because they are really doing what I am doing. Trying to make a buck at this internet stuff. But I think it comes back to a few simple basic things if you want to be in business selling stuff. You have to have something that people really want and will reuse every month and or every day.
I have to admit that there a lot of good programs out there to show you how to make money on-line but you will never ever get all the information you need to connect the dots for you. Most of the things you need to know are small in details and will be discovered by accident or because you search for the information you seek.
There are some basic steps though that anyone who wants to have a internet presence needs to do and that is to have a blog. In matter of fact i will predict that you will have over ten by the time you find what it is you can make money at. And who knows you may well have over one hundred if you do things a different way to make money.
Affiliate marketing is no doubt the way of the future at making money. But how many of your friends would support you and say get their movie tickets through you? Unless you blast them with ads to what you do, they still might buy from your competitor. I have had this happen to me more than once and it always amazed as to why they did not go through me. So selling to people you do not know will be where to concentrate at, not people you know. Just ask them to take a look, they will give you leads, but won't buy from you. Something about selling to family just doesn't mix well.
But I think affiliate marketing is a silent way to make money. Look at adsense! It is a hush hush way to make money. I am sure Google takes a breath everyday as they know people will click on the ads. FaceBook is no different with their Pay Per Click program.
So if there is one thing I can say about my New Career is that blogging appears to be the hearth to any business on line these days. Especially one that is starting out. But what if you do not know what or how to go about it. Well that is where searching comes in and finding that free info from a reliable source.
I am in the process of writing such a manual on the First Steps to Blogging. I believe it will cover some of the things that I learned the hard way. All the information I have learned has been through many sources and most said the same things but each gave me a different pieces to the puzzle.
Well that is about it for today. I am working on my book and am practicing what i am putting into the book as I am creating another blog from scratch to sell a product I have made. It should be interesting since most books show you how to sell someone else's stuff. I will share latter.

My New Career Gives Me Time
Lot's of extra time in My New Career and management of that time is crucial.but I find it hard to give that eight straight hours like a job. In matter of fact I don't even call what I am doing a job but more like what I would call work. So is a job really work or is a job really just above broke. But the change up I am doing is work but well below broke as there is no pay check here.
I can understand the fear to do what I am doing and that most would call it crazy, if not mad.or even insane. But when it comes to a change like this where no pay check is coming in every week or every other week, it seems to be insane. The only reason I am even able to do what I am doing is because of the things I did in my past. It is all good and I am fortunate to have the opportunity to be able to change my career this way.
If it was not for the internet I wonder what I would be doing right now after watching my business of fifteen years go down the drain with the collapse of our economy. I did try to weather it out. My overhead was low enough to hold onto it but when it isn't paying the bill anymore and the market has declined for the product it is time to move on.
I like to write and do not have a problem putting myself out there, I can talk to a crowd and entertain an audience. I know because I have done it. I have trained people because I have done it. I can teach and share wisdom and thought because I have done it. But that is the past and I can only bring it forward and understand it.
I wish i could say that my training is over but it isn't. I have always been a student and keep my options open to learning something that will take me where it is I want to go. At least i think it is. Sometimes it is a distraction and does waste my time, but I always hope to pick up the l; little things more than the big things.
I can say too that nothing has come easy. it has taken much practice and the more I practice the better I get at writing. I can remember when writing a 400 word article was difficult and would take me the majority of the day. Now when I start writing I find myself seeing 2400 word articles. Which is too many words. Great for a book but not for an article. So I will break it up and make a couple articles out of it and possibly do a few re-writes to publish in article directories.
The other thing that I have found out is that activity produces new readers and subscribers. I understand SEO and how in the long run of it's importance. But in the beginning it is best to set up your SEO but the next biggest thing you can do to syndicate your site is through article's.and other sites. Socializing is also good but I find it to be a little more grueling, but I share anyways while most are just posting their stuff and not really interested in my stuff. It is just the way it is as the social seen is not my target market but my viral market.
As My New Career builds and develops I will continue to post here and at my other blogs where they are a little more themed and I am sure I will create other blogs as I learn, develop, change and adapt to the never ending changes in our world.

Learning What SEO, Writing and Submitting is All About
I am not going to hang on this subject to much, but the importance of SEO before you write, choose a domain name or just to see how viable the words that you are going to use will and can make you or break you.
What is SEO? It is an over complicated common sense, but, i found out that their are so many words that you can use to describe and write about your main topic or subject. If you use any software to figure this stuff out with then you will see what i mean. After a week of learning how to optimize my sites with Meta so I would have a title and keywords at the front of the main url page. But it also relates to the articles you will write to embed those same keywords into those posts.
Keeping your writing in touch with these main keywords will help you compete for those words. When you have relationships of words between the things you are linking too and the things you are writing about you are making sense to the search engines. After doing this you will find that your articles and posts will get indexed that much faster. Then, with added views and comments to increase your popularity.

Where are the Job's In Michigan?
After listening to Newly Elected Governor Rick Snyder on the State Address I am wondering if Southern Michigan will be the only benefactors to the changes he dreams of. Being that we have manufacturing plants and warehouses sitting idle for the last ten years how will we be able to utilize the real estate that is just sitting there?
To me the Great State of Michigan Has one thing that 60% of this world does not have and need. Water! Just not any water but fresh clean spring water flowing out of the ground. We are the Aqua State and with Water and Sunshine we could have rejuvenating income growing food. Trees are important but we do not have twenty years to harvest. We need to be able to harvest every year and take it to the market. We need to make something and we need to do it sooner than soon.
But none the less I have taken on this new career path of writing and blogging. Learning SEO and how to present a great article that comes to my heart and mind. Words that will flow effortlessly with keyword density embedded in my mind on the topic of the day.
Right now I am trying out some new SEO software that comes with a free version. It installs on your desktop and is very impressive so far. They have a set of video's too. Believe me you will have to watch the video's to understand the power of this stuff called SEO. But to have this at your finger tips can help with your blog and articles.

No Job? Extra Time? What Do You Do?
This blog is about not having a job. And i myself do not have a job. I do not have an income. I have been self employed since 1998 and have always paid my taxes and my debts up to this year. And I am feeling it, what about you?
The Last Fifteen Years
I can remember a day when earning money came to me and with a little advertising and soliciting I could get work. I was and am still a Dish Network Retailer but even that is coming to an end, and the day draws nearer. I am having a hard time letting go of something that has provided for me for so long and since it is mine it really hurts even thinking about giving it up. But I don't think it is going to re-bound as we are in a change of technologies. Plus homes are not going up and people are not moving to our location and to survive I need new sales, new customers. And that is not happening.
The day of the phone ringing off the hook everyday, for now, is over and I have to accept it. It is done, the debt is on my shoulders and I do not see any viable income to magically appear in the near future. The Job Market Sucks with little to choose from. Re-Location is not an option, yet! And I am over qualified in age and knowledge to mow grass or flip hamburgers.
I am very thankful for where I am right now and how and why I am able to sit here and write. How I got here is easy to say because I never left. This is because of the work I did and investing into my home. I remember the day when I invested into stocks believing that I would see a return, but that was wrong as that is gone and a financial advisor five years ago said I was making a bad move when I took what I had, paid down my house and refinanced at an affordable mortgage. That allowed me to stay.
The Last Six Years
After 25 years of marriage and raising three daughters it was over. She fell in love with someone else. I let her go because I loved her as her wish was my command as always. The girls were all grown up and on their own. Today I have a grand daughter and a grand son and am very blessed, another reason I do not want to leave and re-locate. I have been so lucky to have meet a wonderful women who makes all things possible and is supporting me. I can not even imagine where I would be right now if it wasn't for her and her daughter. When we meet there was a spiral going down for the both of us and by joining together we are living very comfortably, but month to month. We are very fortunate.
So Here I Am
No Job, No Income and the Savings is Gone! And I am writing. What? This is new! It is something I like doing. I feel I can create and share. I know enough about the web to be dangerous or a complete idiot. I can not afford some guru to take me by my hand and show me how to make money on-line. I do however have product to sell and through all my research on how to make money on-line I realize that the process can take some time. But by doing certain things and being active I could increase my chances of actually making money on-line.
No Money and The Shoe String Budget!
I started writing about a year ago as I was feeling the pinch of not having any work coming in. I had no idea what i was doing and still am feeling my way around. But the thing was I started. I invested into myself and bought a domain name and hosting service. I made the commitment. I did not have to do it because there are free services just like this one and WordPress. But I learned a lot and there is a big difference in what you can do and what you can not do when you have your own site.
So I started a Blog and it is the most mixed up blog but an experience. It started out as one thing and has moved into another. But I think the direction of it is going better now and I am still refining it. I could abandon it and start all over again too, and I just might.
If there is money on the internet, and there is, how do we go about tapping into it? How do we go about making money and do it respectfully? Do you buy into a program and pay to play? Do you take surveys? Do you buy junk and sell junk on eBay? Do you have a site and sell a product? Do you print up some business cards and sell your service? Do you surf the web looking for Jobs? Do you surf the web looking for opportunities?
Where's the Money?
When it comes to the web and making money you have to understand Three things. Content! Content! Content! Write! Write! Write! Practice! Practice! Practice! And there is no easy trail, path or super highway to get there. But, there are skills like any trade that you will have to have. If you want to build a house you have to have tools and skills and the skill to use the right tool. Just like a new job or anything else you are going to learn or study and you will develop through doing. Hands on will be your best teacher. But what to learn? What to study?
So what are you going to do? How are things changing your life style? Do you have a job? How secure do you feel economically? I want to know!

No Job, No Income and the Savings is Gone! And I am writing. What? This is new! It is something I like doing. I feel I can create and share. I know enough about the web to be dangerous or a complete idiot. I can not afford some guru to take me by my hand and show me how to make money on-line. I do however have product to sell and through all my research on how to make money on-line I realize that the process can take some time. But by doing certain things and being active I could increase my chances of actually making money on-line.
No Money and The Shoe String Budget!
I started writing about a year ago as I was feeling the pinch of not having any work coming in. I had no idea what i was doing and still am feeling my way around. But the thing was I started. I invested into myself and bought a domain name and hosting service. I made the commitment. I did not have to do it because there are free services just like this one and WordPress. But I learned a lot and there is a big difference in what you can do and what you can not do when you have your own site.
So I started a Blog and it is the most mixed up blog but an experience. It started out as one thing and has moved into another. But I think the direction of it is going better now and I am still refining it. I could abandon it and start all over again too, and I just might.
If there is money on the internet, and there is, how do we go about tapping into it? How do we go about making money and do it respectfully? Do you buy into a program and pay to play? Do you take surveys? Do you buy junk and sell junk on eBay? Do you have a site and sell a product? Do you print up some business cards and sell your service? Do you surf the web looking for Jobs? Do you surf the web looking for opportunities?
Where's the Money?
When it comes to the web and making money you have to understand Three things. Content! Content! Content! Write! Write! Write! Practice! Practice! Practice! And there is no easy trail, path or super highway to get there. But, there are skills like any trade that you will have to have. If you want to build a house you have to have tools and skills and the skill to use the right tool. Just like a new job or anything else you are going to learn or study and you will develop through doing. Hands on will be your best teacher. But what to learn? What to study?
So what are you going to do? How are things changing your life style? Do you have a job? How secure do you feel economically? I want to know!

My New Career: If there are no Jobs, what do you do?: "No Job? It has been many years since I worked for an employer and at the age of 51 I feel I am not in a good position as a candidate&..."

No Job?
It has been many years since I worked for an employer and at the age of 51 I feel I am not in a good position as a candidate for employment.
I have worked for myself for over 15 years and since the economy has taken a dive my expertise in Consumer Electronics has dried up with little to no business
Advertising doesn't seem to work unless I do it for nothing and people are getting by without my help anymore. What is a poor guy to do?
Going to work for hamburger wages just doesn't seem to be right and who in the heck will hire someone that will leave as soon as an opportunity arises? No one. Oh and I am stuck in my ways and am not as trainable as someone that has no idea of what solving a problem is like.
I am a thinker, a troubleshooter and have a keen eye for seeing things that can be improved or where it is broken. I have been a repairer of many things from cars to plumbing to changing out a micro chip. My talents are vast and people use to pay me well for the things I could do.
Now I am over priced, an ancient artifact that will be dug up someday and honored for being a lost mammal that has fossilized. I feel an Ice Age Coming, or is it here already?
For the last ten years I have been seeing this trend coming but I never thought it would get to this point where we are all becoming consumers of China Goods. We have become such consumers that we pay without questioning or shopping.
Cost beats quality and quality out lasts costs. You get what you pay for and buying China is what you are going to get. Our factories have moved, we have dollar stores and drive through budget menu's and our cell phones tied around our necks.
As the cost of living takes another hike I feel most of us will not know what that is until we buy milk and bread. When the Hot Dog is Cheaper than the Bun I feel we have hit a weird world. The price of bread is going up and you have to eat, so you buy the hot dog because it is cheaper, but you get no bun because it is to expensive.
We will go through life wondering how the rich can afford the hot dog and the bun. Can you afford the condiments? No you get the Hot Dog, everything else has a price of luxury if you want to add to the hot dog. So we are at that stage, you maybe able to afford the car but the insurance and gas will cost you dearly, possibly more than what the car is worth.
So where will the money come from if we are not making the hot dogs and all the stuff that can go with a hot dog comes from another country? If we are not making our own how will be able to afford to buy at all? Is this where we are really heading?
We need jobs and we needed them yesterday. As each day passes nothing is being done to rectify our countries situation. I myself would like to see a 400 percent tax on imports. I would think that businesses might move back to the US to sell their products at a fair market value.
But I wonder if that would work because we are such consumers and seem not to fear a large price, we seem to pay it and we don't care about the quality anymore. I need it now attitude is killing us and supporting other counties. Until we curb our enthusiasm as consumers we will not get those jobs.
I guess what really makes me think as the US has been buying and paying for everyone is if I am not making money how in the heck will I be able to contribute to all the money they are spending? If I am not earning then I am not paying taxes. So where in the hell did the brain go that came up with this grand plan of letting business leave this country? Who in the hell said i think it is a good idea to put a pipe 5 miles deep in the ocean knowing how fragile the environment is? I believe the same people are making some stupid fundamental decisions that are costing you and me on a huge long term scale.
So, start a new career, and time is not on my side. I could go to school and learn how to become a nurse so I can watch that industry fail ten years from now after all the baby boomer's move on. How in the heck will that gap be filled ten years from now?
